Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
was diagnosed with dysautonomia in january and have been pretty ill since before then. In january i started with awful adrenaline surges that even occured at night and made my heart rate super high. I had a cortisol saliva test that was supposedly low but still considered normal and I had a urine adrenaline test also normal. Yesterday I was emailed me my latest lab results and I don t know what to make of it. My aldosterone was a 1 and my renin was 1.84 My eosinophils were double higher than last time and way out of range at 1265. My symptoms currently are extremely fatigued, muscle twitches, fast heart rate just by moving. My concern is the low aldosterone and high continously eosinophils. Is this serious? Could this be addisons disease? My doctor is out of town and I m worried about my results
Dysautonomia can be treated by elevation of the head of the bed, water bolus (rapid infusion of water given intravenously), a high-salt diet, and drugs such as Fludrocortisone and Midodrine.
